Huge Storms = Huge Influx of Computers

Well today when I came into work there was a line of people at the door. Turns out that over the weekend there were a lot of power surges, and general dirty electricity going into peoples computers. Which is unfortunate for them, but good news for me, because now I have a lot of work. So now it is time for me to fire up the toaster and start pulling information off of all these dead computers. Also if any of you ever need to pull data off of a drive, or just have a few spares laying around a toaster is a very good idea. Plus it is only $20 and you can't go wrong at that price.

All Out of Computers!

Well, today is one of those rare occasions where I have absolutely no computers to fix. So now I'm just trying to find some stuff to pass the time till I get to go home. Any suggestions?

Back At It

Well, today has been a really busy day. I've had 5 people drop off computers, and I'm currently working frantically on a computer for the City where my office is located. There is nothing like dealing with extremely sensitive data to make you feel especially under pressure to get a computer knocked-out. Other than the above my work day has been fairly normal. Also here is a little shortcut I picked up a while back that has been especially helpful today with all the Skype re-installs I have been doing.

Quick way to get to Add/Remove Programs:

Windows Key+R - to open the run command box. Then type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.

First Post!

Since this is my first time blogging ever I figured I would keep it simple and talk about myself. I am a Computer Repair Technician, and I currently manage a repair shop for a friend of mine. We have been slowly growing our business and just recently started to expand into new areas. My time with this current company has been very rewarding, and I can say that I am personally, very satisfied know that I am offering people an affordable option as opposed to some of the bigger repair companies. We work on every piece of home technology that people bring us from computers (Windows, Mac, and Linux) to TVs, and Game Consoles. If anyone has any questions on how to diagnose a problem or just want an opinion on something new, please feel free to sound of in the comments.

Thanks,
